Minister Holds Talks with Indian Road Transport Minister

New Delhi – India Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met in New Delhi with Minister of Road Transport and Highways of The Republic of India H.E. Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari. The two ministers reviewed Qatar-India relations in the areas of transportation and its associated infrastructures, as well as road construction works and tunnels. They also discussed ways to enhance and push up cooperation to new heights with relation to ecofriendly transportation services

Minister Meets with Indian Civil Aviation Minister

New Delhi – India Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met in New Delhi with Minister of Civil Aviation of The Republic of India H.E. Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia. The two ministers reviewed Qatar-India bilateral relations in the fields of civil aviation and air transportation, and ways to develop them and raise cooperation to new heights. Charge d'Affairs at the Embassy of the State of Qatar to India Mr. Ali bin Mohammed Al Badi attended the meeting.

Minister Meets with Kuwaiti Public Works Minister

Doha – Qatar Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Minister of Public Works and Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy of the State of Kuwait H.E. Dr. Amani Suleman Abdulwahab Bugamaz. The meeting was held in the Ministry’s offices today. The two ministers reviewed Qatari-Kuwaiti relations in the areas of transportation and the infrastructure associated to it, and ways to further develop them. The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Qatar H.E. Khaled Badr Al Mutairi.

Minister Meets with French Economy, Finance Minister

Doha – Qatar Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with French Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty H.E. Bruno Le Maire. Meeting in the Ministry’s offices today, the two ministers reviewed Qatari- French relations in the fields of transportation, and ways to further develop and elevate them to new heights, particularly in terms of using the digital technologies relative to transportation industry. Ambassador of the French Republic to Qatar H.E. Jean-Baptiste Faivre and the delegation accompanying H.E. Minister Le Maire, attended the meeting.

Minister Meets with S. Korean Counterpart

Doha – Qatar Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea H.E. Won Hee-ryong, in the Ministry’s offices today. The two ministers reviewed aspects of Qatari-S. Korean cooperation in transportation, and ways to further develop them, as well as eyeing broader space for cooperation, particularly with relation to the deploying of cutting-edge and smart technologies in transportation industry. Several Qatari transportation officials, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Qatar H.E. LEE Joon-Ho and the delegation accompanying H.E. Minister Hee-ryong, attended the meeting.

Ministry Opens Maritime Vessel Registration Office at Doha Port

Doha – QatarThe Ministry of Transport today opened a new maritime vessels registration office at Doha Port where beneficiaries can register a maritime vessel, renew an existing registration, transfer the ownership of a maritime vessel, and obtain all types of certificates for small vessels.MOT is inaugurating this office within the framework of its plans to improve maritime transportation services to the public by expanding maritime vessels registration offices to make the services available and easy to access, said Asst. Undersecretary, Maritime Transport Affairs, Dr. Saleh bin Fetais Al-Marri.This office, he added, will also help with integrating the services at Doha Port, which is Qatar’s maritime tourism destination and one of its top tourism landmarks.Al-Marri said MOT will continue its efforts to offer services to the public in the best possible way. Currently, he noted, the Ministry offers some 28 e-services for small and large vessels and work is underway to develop and automize all services for maritime vessels, large vessels and maritime certificates and licensees, in addition to developing an electronic application for all maritime services and transactions for the public, shipowners and maritime companies, and opening a maritime vessels registration office in Al Wakra.MOT has maritime vessels registration offices in Al Khor and Al Ruwais, in addition to the main office at the Ministry’s headquarters.
