Jeddah – Saudi Arabia

Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Mr. Kitack Lim, on the sidelines of their participation in “Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference”, which opened in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

They discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and the IMO in the fields of protecting marine environment and the country’s efforts of supporting maritime transportation industry, and ways of further developing them. They also highlighted the State of Qatar’s positive and active participation in the IMO’s Council on Category C.
