MOT Reveals “Sustainable Transportation & Legacy for Generations” Conf. & Exhib. Sponsors, Program

The Ministry of Transport has revealed the sponsors and details of its “Ministry of Transport…Sustainable Transportation and Legacy for Generations” Conference & Exhibition, to be held this Sept. 17-18 at Doha Exhibition & Convention Center.

In a press conference today, the MOT said its event is sponsored by 9 entities: Qatar Airways Group, Mwani Qatar and Qatar National Bank (QNB) as Strategic Sponsors, Qatar Rail and QTerminals Group as Platinum Sponsors, Mowasalat (Karwa) as a Gold Sponsor, Fusion Group Holding as a Silver Sponsor, and Milaha and Al Abdulghani Motors as Bronze Sponsors.

“This event aims at exchanging expertise, discussing views, and presenting perspectives and thoughts with our partners concerned with developing the transportation and mobility sector, as well as highlighting the sector’s new trends. It also aims at highlighting the latest developments of transportation and mobility industry; land, maritime and air, and key plans and strategies for comprehensive and gradual transitioning to an integrated, sustainable, and ecofriendly transit system,” said MOT’s Acting Assistant Undersecretary, Land Transport Affairs, Eng. Hamad Essa Abdulla.

He thanked the event sponsors and said success can’t be achieved with a single entity’s efforts, but rather is the fruit of the work and cooperation of multiple entities, authorities, institutions, and companies from both public and private sectors, who have the same goal and vision to improve lifestyle in Qatar.

MOT’s Public Relations and Communication Department Director Ms. Lolan Abdulaziz Al-Jassim said the event is seeing a large participation from several entities and companies as the number of participants exceeded 30 entities representing government ministries and agencies and the private sector, in addition to transportation and mobility entities, consulting firms working in Qatar and national and international companies.

She thanked the sponsors and participating entities, wishing for this cooperation to continue in support of the efforts that aim at achieving the goals of the QNV2030, thereby leaving a legacy for tomorrow’s generations.

The accompanying exhibition offers an excellent platform for exhibitors to display some of the latest technologies and technology innovations around sustainable transportation.

The conference features 6 panel discussions to be attended by over 20 speakers who represent all transportation entities and relevant ones. Sessions revolve around multiple hot topics, including Qatar’s endeavors of switching to a sustainable, ecofriendly transit system, public and rail transportation modes and their infrastructures, and developments and accomplishments of Qatar’s maritime transportation sector and its commercial ports and their capabilities of enhancing the economic development here.

Topics also cover some of the key efforts and advancements of Qatari civil aviation sector and its vital role in enhancing Qatar’s position worldwide. The sessions also highlight the role of the transportation sector in Qatar in supporting the business community and commercial, industrial, logistics and private sectors, in light of the goals of the QNV2030.
