Minister Meets with European Parliament Transport Committee Member

Doha – QatarMinister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Member of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Fisheries in the European Parliament Mr. Giuseppe Ferrandino, in the Ministry’s offices today.The meeting reviewed aspects of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the European Union in the field of transportation, and ways of further enhancing them.

Qatar Signs Air Services Agreement with Jordan

Doha – Qatar The State of Qatar signed an air services agreement with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the Ministry’s offices today in the presence of Minister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti. The agreement comes in the context of connecting Qatar with air services agreements that open airspaces for the national carrier to fly to more destinations around the world. The agreement was signed by Mr. Mohamed Faleh Alhajri, who is in charge of managing the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Qatar and Capt. Haitham Misto, the Chief Commissioner and CEO, Jordan Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission. Following the signing ceremony, HE the Minister and Capt. Misto discussed ways of enhancing relations in civil aviation industry between the two brotherly countries of Qatar and Jordan.

Ministry Takes Part in 9th AgriteQ, 3rd EnviroteQ 2022

Doha – QatarThe Ministry of Transport is taking part in the 9th Qatar International Agriculture Exhibition (AgriteQ) and the 3rd Qatar International Environmental Exhibition (EnviroteQ) running at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Center from March 10 to March 14.The pavilion of the Ministry and exhibiting entities: Mwani Qatar, Qatar Rail, Mowasalat (Karwa) and QTerminals, will showcase some of the key transportation programs and projects where latest innovative practices based on environmental sustainability and clean energy are applied.Preserving the environment is among the Ministry’s top priorities in all its plans and projects. The Ministry also pays considerable attention to supporting the national events and platforms that promote environmental development.The Minsitry is committed to establishing an integrated, safe, and sustainable transportation system that supports Qatar’s economic and population growths, thus creating a real legacy for generations to come, in consistent with the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030.The 9th AgriteQ and 3rd EnviroteQ are expected to feature over 650 local and international companies, in addition to official international pavilions from nearly 50 countries through their embassies and business offices in Doha.

Ministry Takes Part in 5th Annual DI Career Fair

Doha – Qatar Represented by its Human Resources Department, the Ministry of Transport today took part in the events of the Fifth Annual Doha Institute Career Fair, which featured multiple government and private entities and agencies. The Ministry pays considerable attention to attracting and sponsoring students and graduates through the organizing channels and by so doing, the Ministry aims to keep them updated with the available training opportunities and voluntary workhours that could allow them to learn more about the Ministry’s work environment. The Ministry introduced its booth visitors to its mandates, roles and services, as well as its plans and programs that aim to attract more national professionals. Minister Meets with Paraguay’s DINAC President

Doha – Qatar Minister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with President of the Dirección Nacional de Aeronáutica Civil (DINAC – the National Directorate of Civil Aviation) of the Republic of Paraguay Ing. Felix Kanazawa, in Ministry offices today. The two officials reviewed aspects of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Paraguay in the fields of air transportation and civil aviation, and ways of further enhancing them.
