Ministry Takes Part in 9th AgriteQ, 3rd EnviroteQ 2022

Doha – QatarThe Ministry of Transport is taking part in the 9th Qatar International Agriculture Exhibition (AgriteQ) and the 3rd Qatar International Environmental Exhibition (EnviroteQ) running at the Doha Exhibition and Conference Center from March 10 to March 14.The pavilion of the Ministry and exhibiting entities: Mwani Qatar, Qatar Rail, Mowasalat (Karwa) and QTerminals, will showcase some of the key transportation programs and projects where latest innovative practices based on environmental sustainability and clean energy are applied.Preserving the environment is among the Ministry’s top priorities in all its plans and projects. The Ministry also pays considerable attention to supporting the national events and platforms that promote environmental development.The Minsitry is committed to establishing an integrated, safe, and sustainable transportation system that supports Qatar’s economic and population growths, thus creating a real legacy for generations to come, in consistent with the goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030.The 9th AgriteQ and 3rd EnviroteQ are expected to feature over 650 local and international companies, in addition to official international pavilions from nearly 50 countries through their embassies and business offices in Doha.

Ministry Takes Part in 5th Annual DI Career Fair

Doha – Qatar Represented by its Human Resources Department, the Ministry of Transport today took part in the events of the Fifth Annual Doha Institute Career Fair, which featured multiple government and private entities and agencies. The Ministry pays considerable attention to attracting and sponsoring students and graduates through the organizing channels and by so doing, the Ministry aims to keep them updated with the available training opportunities and voluntary workhours that could allow them to learn more about the Ministry’s work environment. The Ministry introduced its booth visitors to its mandates, roles and services, as well as its plans and programs that aim to attract more national professionals. The Career Fair is a great venue that gives students and graduates the opportunity to learn more about top career opportunities in Qatari market, explore a variety of options, be updated with job openings and training opportunities that match their aspirations and future professional inclinations.

Minister Meets with Paraguay’s DINAC President

Doha – Qatar Minister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with President of the Dirección Nacional de Aeronáutica Civil (DINAC – the National Directorate of Civil Aviation) of the Republic of Paraguay Ing. Felix Kanazawa, in Ministry offices today. The two officials reviewed aspects of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Paraguay in the fields of air transportation and civil aviation, and ways of further enhancing them.

Minister Meets with Iran’s Roads, Urban Development Minister

Doha – Qatar Minister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran HE Rostam Ghasemi, in Ministry offices today. The two ministers reviewed aspects of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fields of transportation, marine navigation, harbors, air transportation and civil aviation, and ways of further enhancing them. Iranian Ambassador to the State of Qatar HE Hamid Reza Dehghani attended the meeting.

Minister Meets with Senegal Tourism, Air Transport Minister

Doha – QatarMinister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Minister of Tourism and Air Transport of the Republic of Senegal HE Alioune Sarr, in Ministry offices today.The two ministers reviewed aspects of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Senegal in the fields of air transportation and civil aviation, and ways of further enhancing them.The meeting was attended by Senegalese Ambassador in Doha HE Mohammed Habibo Diallo.

Ministry Holds Workshop on Protecting Harbors during World Cup Events

Doha-The Ministry has concluded a training workshop on protecting harbors during the World Cup events in cooperation with experts from British Department for Transport.The 5-day training hosted maritime specialists from several entities across the country and covered topics relating to the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) and ways of safeguarding the country’s harbors during the events of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The training also featured a field visit to Hamad Port for a hands-on experience.At the end of the training, the Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary, Maritime Transport Affairs, Dr. Saleh bin Fetais Al Marri awarded certificates to attendees.The workshop comes in the context of Ministry’s interest in sharpening maritime specialists’ skills and experience.
