Minister Meets with UN Special Envoy for Road Safety

Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with the UN Special Envoy for Road Safety Mr. Jean Todt, who is currently visiting Qatar to attend some of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 events.
The meeting was held in the Ministry’s offices today. The two officials reviewed aspects of Qatar-UN cooperation in road safety and ways to develop them. They also reviewed the latest updates with relation to road safety according to the UN Agenda 2030.
Mr. Todt hailed Qatar’s commitment to safe, sustainable and ecofriendly transportation during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. He also congratulated Qatar on a successful hosting of the global tournament.
