Doha – Qatar
The State of Qatar and the Kyrgyz Republic signed an air services agreement in Doha today. The agreement comes within the framework of connecting the State of Qatar with more air services agreements, permitting its national carrier to expand its destinations all around the world.
The agreement was signed by HE Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, and HE Minister of the Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Jamshitbek Kalilov.
Following the signing ceremony, the two ministers discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in the fields of transport, mobility and aviation and means of further enhancing them.
The two officials also agreed to sign an MoU in the near future in the field of land transport. The MoU will focus on commodities and goods transportation from Bishkek to Doha on 7-day trips. This comes within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) that aims to revive the Silk Road that connects Asia, Africa and Europe to form an economic belt to help expand economic and cultural exchange.
