Doha-

The Ooredoo Qatar football team have been crowned champions of the fourth annual Minister’s Ramadan Football Cup Competition 2017 for the first time after defeating the Vodafone Qatar team 1-0 at Al Sadd Sports Club yesterday.

There were no goals in the first half as it was a tight affair with few chances for both sides. Eventually, a goal surfaced as Ooredoo players broke the deadlock in the first minutes of the second half of the faceoff.

Both teams gave a great performance throughout the match but wasted many golden chances thanks to the goalkeepers, who have done a great job to keep their nets untouched.

Following the match, the winning team Ooredoo Qatar, championship sponsors, referees and the organizing committee have been honored by Mr. Hassan Al Hail, Advisor to HE Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti and Eng. Abdulla Abdulaziz T. Al Subaie, Managing Director & CEO, Qatar Rail.
