Mwani Qatar, Italy’s ASSOPORTI Sign MoU

HE Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti held talks with Italian Minister of Infrastructures and Transport Mr. Graziano Delrio.
The two officials discussed cooperation ties between the two friendly countries in the fields of marine transport, ports, aviation and railroads and means of further enhancing them, in addition to potential investment opportunities in both countries in transport and communications. They also discussed a number of matters of common interest.
Following the meeting, the two ministers witnessed the signing of an MoU between the Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) and Italian Ports Association (ASSOPORTI), aiming for effective cooperation in maritime works sector, ports and operations management, training programs for ports officers and exchange of ideas and best practices on port improvements and productivity.
The MoU was signed by Mwani Qatar CEO Capt. Abdullah Al-Khanji and ASSOPORTI Secretary-General Mr. Franco Mariani. The event was attended by HE Mr. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Italy.
