HE. Minister of Finance Ali Sharif Al-Emadi and Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti today launched a new system to automate the financial procedures of various public sector entities Maliya. The new system is a computerized and integrated administrative system that will connect the financial operations of ministries and government entities with a central financial and budgeting application.

Implementing Maliya will improve the efficiency of the management of government resources, improve the quality and accuracy of financial data available to decision makers in government, and create an economic environment that will attract public and foreign investments.

Furthermore, the new system will automate the processes of budget preparation for all government institutions by providing advanced analytical tools and a secure, integrated technical environment for the flow of financial information, and thereby minimize the time and effort needed in communications with the Ministry of Finance.
