The Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary, Maritime Transport Affairs, Dr. Saleh bin Fetais Al Marri has met with a delegation of specialists representing the US Coast Guard, as well as with several maritime specialists from various Qatari entities, in the Ministry’s offices today.

The meeting discussed the implementation of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code). The Ministry is interested in holding such meetings to update the knowledge and information of maritime specialists in Qatar with regard to the ISPS Code, give them the necessary technical skillsets and familiarize them with latest universal developments with relation to safeguarding harbors.
