Doha-
The Ministry has concluded a training workshop on protecting harbors during the World Cup events in cooperation with experts from British Department for Transport.
The 5-day training hosted maritime specialists from several entities across the country and covered topics relating to the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) and ways of safeguarding the country’s harbors during the events of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The training also featured a field visit to Hamad Port for a hands-on experience.
At the end of the training, the Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary, Maritime Transport Affairs, Dr. Saleh bin Fetais Al Marri awarded certificates to attendees.
The workshop comes in the context of Ministry’s interest in sharpening maritime specialists’ skills and experience.
