The Ministry of Transport announces its development of an overarching strategy and associated legislations for governing autonomous vehicles in the State of Qatar.

This step is reinforcing the Ministry’s vision in leveraging emerging technologies in line with best world practices and further improving mobility and transportation services in the country with environmentally sustainable form of transport.

The development of the strategy and legislation will take into account of technical, legal, economic, social and environment considerations; resulting in a governance and regulatory framework along with a road map for implementation of autonomous vehicles in the country.
