The fifth annual Minister of Transport and Communications’ Ramadan Football Cup Championship 2018 is scheduled for the first whistle at the Ali Bin Hamad al-Attiyah Arena tomorrow.
Every drop of seat counts as 12 teams divided into 4 powerful groups, representing transportation and communications industries, are ready to do their best to snatch the title from Ooredoo Qatar, which was crowned in last year’s edition after beating Vodafone Qatar 1-0.
This year, Group 1 includes Ooredoo Qatar, Milaha, and Qatar Aeronautical College. Group 2 includes Ministry of Transport and Communications, Qatar Airways and Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Group 3 includes Vodafone Qatar, Hamad Port and QTerminals and Group 4 includes Qatar Rail, Mowasalat (Karwa) and Mwani Qatar.
This is the fifth time this competition has been organized. The first three titles of the championship went to CAA, Qatar Rail and MOTC, respectively.
This year’s 14-day championship is organized by the Ministry in association with Qatar Rail, and sponsored by Vodafone Qatar and Qatar Airways.
