HE Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti has praised extension of the meeting of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to study the file of the State of Qatar on the effects due to embargo imposed by the three Gulf States on aviation security and safety.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) tonight, HE the Minister praised the decision of the ICAO member states to hold a hearing session on 30 June regarding request Qatar's request submitted to the international organization about the measures taken by the siege countries which would lead to harm the aviation safety.
HE the Minister stressed the importance of the role played by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), praising its efforts in this regard.
Earlier today, ICAO agreed to open a permanent office of the State of Qatar to the Organization immediately.
