Minister Meets with ITU Secretary-General

HE Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met here today with the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union HE Mr. Houlin Zhao.
The two officials discussed aspects of cooperation in the field of ICT and means of further enhancing them. They also discussed coordination on Qatar’s requirements for satellite system affairs (Es'hailSat 2), as well as enhancing and intensifying relations between Qatar and the ITU.
President of Qatar’s Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Mannai attended the meeting.
HE Mr. Zhao also visited CRA and its National Monitoring Center, which monitors spectrum usage. He also visited the Qatar Assistive Technology Center (MADA), the Digital Incubation Center (DIC), the Qatar Computer Emergency Response Team (Q-CERT) and Government Contact Center where MOTC’s experts and specialists briefed him on these programs and projects.
