Minister Meets with Huawei Vice President

Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Mr. Tony Bao, Vice President at Huawei, the leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure, smart devices, as well as technology and smart solutions for infrastructure projects.
They discussed bilateral cooperation, and ways to enhance it particularly in the areas of smart technologies on electric and self-driving public transit systems.
Following the meeting, Minister Al-Sulaiti accompanied by Huawei officials visited the Shenzhen Supercharging Station and was briefed on the ultrafast electric vehicle (EV) chargers that run on solar power. He also toured the station’s facilities and viewed the integrated technologies in use. Additionally, the Minister was given a detailed presentation on intelligent automotive solutions and attended a test drive of Huawei’s latest M9 vehicle module.
