Minister of Transport HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti lauded the depth of bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Senegal during a TV interview with the two ministers concerned with the transportation sector in Senegal.
He also said their relations in the fields of transportation are heading toward advanced levels, particularly with respect to civil aviation.
He said that Qatar provides training scholarships to civil aviation industry workers of Senegal through the Qatar-African Cooperation Program, which is organized by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) in conjunction with the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC).
He added that the Program aims to increase the efficiency of the human resources of Africa and solidify cooperation with civil aviation authorities across the continent, as well as achieving mutual interests that concern the two sides. He noted that trainees from Senegal have the lion's share.
He also stressed that Senegal is one of the countries where markets are expanding accompanied by an improving level of services in the civil aviation field, something which augurs well for the future.
