Minister Holds Talks with Italy’s ASSOPORTI Secretary-General

HE Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti held talks here today with the Secretary-General of the Italian Ports Association (ASSOPORTI) Mr. Franco Mariani. The meeting was attended by HE the Italian Ambassador in Doha Mr. Pasquale Salzano.
The meeting discussed cooperation relations between Qatar and Italy in the field of ports with a view to opening new horizons for exchange of expertise and investment between Italian and Qatari ports, in addition to establishing cooperation and effective alliances in the field of maritime works.
The two officials also discussed cooperation in ports management and operations, personnel training and skill development, exchange of ideas and best practices on ports productivity improvement.
