Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation of the Bahamas the Hon. Isaac Chester Cooper today signed an air services agreement between the State of Qatar and the Bahamas.
The agreement comes in the context of connecting Qatar with air services agreements that open airspaces for the national carrier to fly to more destinations around the world.
Following the signing ceremony, H.E. Al-Sulaiti held talks with the Hon. Cooper, Minister for Grand Bahama the Hon. Ginger Moxey, and Minister of State in the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources the Hon. Zane Lightbourne and discussed aspects of Qatari-Bahamian cooperation in the areas of transportation, civil aviation, marine navigation and ports, and ways to further develop them.
Mr. Mohamed Faleh Alhajri, in charge of managing the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, Vice President of the Senate Sen. the Hon. Barry Griffin, Director of Aviation Dr. Kenneth Romer, the Bahamas Non-Resident Ambassador to the State of Qatar H.E. Tony Joudi, and several Bahamian officials accompanying the Bahamian delegation, were also in attendance.
