Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti has attended the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)’s Second Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS), which opened in Seoul, S. Korea, today.
Nearly 30 transportation ministers representing most of the ICAO’s Member States are attending the event, in addition to several airlines’ senior officials.
At the GISS’s opening session, Minister Al-Sulaiti declared the State of Qatar’s contribution to supporting the ICAO’s technical training programs for the countries that need to sharpen their personnel’s technical competence, thus enhancing the execution of the GISS’s plans.
Themed “Working Together for an Innovative and Sustainable Global Aviation Community”, the GISS is highlighting the ICAO's latest digital tools, key initiatives, and collaborative endeavors to support aviation resilience, innovation, sustainable development, and operational solutions, as part of ICAO's efforts to support the realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals set in the UN 2030 Agenda and ICAO's No Country Left Behind (NCLB) initiative.
