ictQATAR and College of the North Atlantic Qatar (CNA-Q) held their second annual Digital Star Competition on March 20, 2010, with students and teachers from across Qatar presenting ways to incorporate technology into learning.
More than 28 schools took part in the competition, with projects covering a wide-range of subjects, including math, science, Arabic, English, religion and history.
"Technology is changing the learning process worldwide. To reach today's students, true digital natives, it's essential for schools to integrate technology into the classroom. The Digital Star Competition is a great way for teachers to showcase their lesson plans that use technology to better reach students, and to have students share their exciting ideas. In technology, it's often the youth that are leading innovation" said Dr. Ghadah Omar Fekieh, ictQATAR's e-Education Manager.
