HE Minister Meets with IMO Secretary-General

HE Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti held talks with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Mr. Kitack Lim, at IMO’s premises in London today.
During the meeting, the Minister submitted to IMO’s Secretary General Qatar’s candidature file to the membership of the Organization executive council under category "C".
The meeting discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and IMO in the field of marine transport and means of further developing them.
The meeting was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to the UK HE Mr. Yousef bin Ali Al Khater.
In a related context, HE the Minister headed Qatar’s delegation to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council meetings, which started yesterday in London to discuss the executive activities and policies of the Organization as well as financial matters.
