Doha – Qatar

The Ministry of Transport and Communications announces that application for admission to the second class of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Training Program is now open.

Launched in Nov. 2017, CTO is a partnership between the Qatar Digital Government Training Program (QDGTP) and HEC Paris. It aims to provide an intensive and immersive learning experience for the CTOs and develop senior leaders’ strategic levels of acumen and execution, as part of the implementation of the objectives of the Qatar Digital Government 2020 Strategy.

The program, which graduated 25 CTOs in its first class at a special graduation event attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, aims to build highly qualified leadership and administrative capacities, boosting professionalism in ICT at ministries and government entities. By so doing, the program significantly supports the digital transformation agenda for Qatar Digital Government 2020.

CTOs at government entities and the private sector are invited to apply for admission. Applications for registration are received until 31st of Dec. 2018 via the email GDQtraining@motc.gov.qa.

This 6-month program covers six different learning modules: risk & strategy in a volatile and uncertain world, big data, digital transformation & innovation, change management, advanced project & contract management, optimizing decisions & negotiations and leading high performing teams.

CTO Training Program functions under the umbrella of the larger QDG Training Program (QDGTP) HE the Prime Minister launched during the 4th edition of Qatar’s ICT conference QITCOM 2017.

For more information and to register for admission, please call 40452334 or 40452335 or email qdgtraining@motc.gov.qa. Applications are accepted until Dec. 31, 2018.
