The Ministry of Transport has taken part in the III International Exhibition and Conference “International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development – 2024” (ITTC-2024), organized by the Turkmenistan’s Agency for Transport and Communications in Ashgabat.
Addressing Session 1; “Transport Transit Corridors and Intermodal Connectivity”, the Road Assets Section Head, MOT, Ms. Nayla Al Noaimi highlighted some of the key achievements on transportation, the Transportation Master Plan for Qatar 2050, and MOT’s plans aimed at enhancing the transportation and logistics services systems to further improve regional and international connectivity.
ITTC-2024 covered numerous topics such as innovative financial mechanisms and investment opportunities to support sustainable infrastructure projects and strategies implementation, and the role of interregional transportation systems and the potential of seamless transportation across various modes.
The event was attended by the Secretary General of the International Road Transport Union (IRU), the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Road Safety, high-profile representatives of global bodies, and transportation department heads from some Arab and foreign countries.
