The MOT hosted a regional training course on the management of hazardous materials in seaports. The event was attended by several maritime specialists from relevant entities in Qatar, in addition to representatives from Kuwaiti maritime entities.

The course covered multiple topics related to the IMDG Code, the safety data sheet (SDS), and types, descriptions, and level of hazard of HazMat. It also covered topics of HazMat loading and unloading, the labeling and marking of the packages, and other measures that help enhance safety and security at seaports and further protect the environment.

The MOT continues upskilling and updating the knowledge of all those who work in the maritime industry at all relevant entities to further enhance their contribution to the sustainable development of the maritime transportation industry.
