MOT's New Inspection Drive on Maritime Vessels

Doha – Qatar A new inspection and control drive on maritime vessels to ensure all safety measures are followed has been conducted by the Ministry's Maritime Transport Affairs professionals, as well as maritime specialists from Qatar Tourism and MOI’s Gen. Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security. They inspected helmsmen's compliance with safety measures in accordance with laws and regulations in place. They also inspected safety and security equipment and their availability onboard and validity. MOT continues these inspections to ensure maritime navigation safety on Qatari waters, in addition to protecting lives and property.

Minister, Lebanese Counterpart Review Relations

Montreal - Canada Qatar-Lebanon cooperation ties and ways to develop them in the fields of transportation, harbors and air transportation were discussed when Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Lebanon's caretaker Public Works and Transport Minister H.E. Ali Hamieh, on the sidelines of their participation in the 41st ICAO Assembly. They also discussed latest developments on civil aviation. International Organizations Department Director, MOFA, H.E. Ambassador Ali bin Khalfan Al Mansouri, and Mr. Mohamed Faleh Alhajri, who is in charge of managing Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), attended the meeting.

Minister, Jamaica Counterpart Meet on Enhancing Relations

Audley Shaw on the sidelines of their participation in the 41st ICAO Assembly. International Organizations Department Director, MOFA, H.E. Ambassador Ali bin Khalfan Al Mansouri attended the meeting.

Minister Meets with Senegal Air Transport Minister

Montreal - Canada Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Minister of Air Transport of the Republic of Senegal H.E. Doudou Ka, on the sidelines of their participation in the 41st ICAO Assembly. The two ministers reviewed cooperation ties and ways to enhance them in the fields of air transportation services and civil aviation. They also discussed boosting cooperation to new horizons in the areas of training and technical capacity building. International Organizations Department Director, MOFA, H.E. Ambassador Ali bin Khalfan Al Mansouri attended the meeting.

Minister Discusses Relations with Niger, Ethiopia, Uganda

Montreal - Canada Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti held separate meetings with his counterparts from the Republic of Niger, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and the Republic of Uganda, on the sidelines of Qatar’s participation in the 41st Session of the ICAO Assembly. The minister reviewed Qatar’s cooperation relations and ways to enhance them in the fields of transportation and air transportation with Niger’s Minister of Transportations H.E. Oumarou Malam Alma, Ethiopia’s Minister of Transport Mrs. Dagmawit Moges and Uganda’s Minister of Works and Transport H.E. Katumba Wamala. They also reviewed latest developments on civil aviation industry and exchanged views on matters of common interest. International Organizations Department Director, MOFA, H.E. Ambassador Ali bin Khalfan Al Mansouri attended the meetings.
