Minister Meets with Ghanian Counterpart

Doha – QatarMinister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Minister of Transport of the Republic of Ghana H.E. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, in the Ministry’s offices today.In addition to discussing cooperation relations in transportation, ports, and civil aviation, the two ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in areas of training and capacity building for maritime and civil aviation specialists.Ghana’s Ambassador in Doha H.E. Mohammed Nurudeen Ismaila, several MOT and transportation sector officials, and the delegation accompanying H.E. Asiamah, attended the meeting.

Minister Meets with Iraqi Counterpart

Doha- Qatar Minister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Minister of Transport of the Republic of Iraq H.E. Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, in the Ministry’s offices, today. The two ministers discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation in the fields of transportation, ports and civil aviation, and ways to take them to new heights. Several Ministry and transportation sector officials attended the meeting, as well as the delegation accompanying H.E. Al-Saadawi.

Minister Meets with Korean Counterpart

Seoul – S. KoreaMinister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti met with Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of the Republic Korea H.E. Won Hee-ryong, on the sidelines of his participation in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)’s Second Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS), which opened in Seoul.The two ministers discussed aspects of cooperation in the fields of transportation and ways to enhance them particularly regarding taking advantage of deploying advanced and smart transportation technologies.Qatar’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea H.E. Khalid bin Ebrahim Al-Hamar attended the meeting.

Minister Attends QAA-IIAC Collaboration Protocol Signing Ceremony

Seoul – S. KoreaMinister of Transport H.E. Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti has attended the signing ceremony of a Collaboration Protocol between the Qatar Aeronautical Academy (QAA) and Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC), on the sidelines of his participation in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)’s Second Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS), which opened in Seoul, S. Korea, today.The Protocol was signed by QAA’s Director General H.E. Sheikh Jabor Bin Hamad Al-Thani and Executive Director & Principal of the Incheon Airport Aviation Academy (IAAA) H.E. Mina Choi.The Protocol aims at promoting the relations existing between QAA and IIAC and facilitating the development and delivery of training programs in the field of aviation, exchange of students and instructors, cooperation activities, and hosting each party’s ICAO courses.

Ministry Takes Part in Transportation Conference in Iraq

Baghdad – IraqThe Ministry of Transport has taken part in the conference of transportation ministers from neighboring countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which convened in Baghdad.The conference was inaugurated by Iraqi Prime Minister H.E. Mohammed Shia al-Sudani in the presence of several transportation ministers and undersecretaries of the region.Acting Assistant Undersecretary, Land Transport Affairs, Eng. Hamad Essa Abdulla, and some of MOT officials represented the Ministry at the event.The conference is aligned with the Iraqi Government's vision of promoting economic integration and cooperation among neighboring countries to serve as a foundation for peace and stability in the region and a platform for partnership and sustainable development.The event discussed the Road of Development project which the Iraqi Government plans to carry out.On the sidelines of the conference, the MOT delegation met with the Deputy of Transport of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran H.E. Shahriar Efendizadeh and discussed cooperation ties in the fields of transportation.
