During the month of May 2017, MoTC have introduced new bus routes to and from Hamad International Airport (HIA), and implemented improvements to bus routes in West Bay. The details are as follows:
Route 74 :
Between City Center and Qatar Tennis Centre via Ashghal office, It runs every 15 minutes between 06.00 AM and 21.00 PM, and the fare is QAR3
Between City Center and Qatar Tennis Centre via Ezdan Hotels, It runs every 15 minutes between 06.00 AM and 21.00 PM, and the fare is QAR3
Between HIA and Al Khor, It runs every hour between 04.00 AM and 22.00 PM, and the fare is QAR7
Between HIA and the Industrial Area, It runs every 30 minutes between 04.00 AM and 24.00 PM, and the fare is QAR3
Between HIA and Old Ghanim Bus Station, to serve additional hotels in Old Salata Area. It runs every 20 minutes between 04.00 AM and 24.00 PM, and the fare is QAR3
Between HIA and the Pearl Development, to extend from West Bay to the Pearl Development and Lagoona Mall. It runs every 20 minutes between 05.00 AM and 24.00 PM, and the fare is QAR5

Farecards – to ride a bus, passengers need a Farecard. Day passes can be purchased from the drivers on each bus. A long-term Smartcard, which can be topped up in value, can be purchased from Jumbo Electronic Store in
City Center, from Al Ghanim Bus Station, Mowasalat airside counter at HIA, and at numerous merchant shops around Doha.
