Qatar Airways is the national carrier of the State of Qatar and one of the world's fastest-growing airlines with a modern fleet serving over 150 destinations.

Qatar Airways currently flies to more than 160 destinations worldwide, connecting through its Doha hub, Hamad International Airport, voted by Skytrax as the ‘World’s Best Airport’ in 2021 and 2022 consecutively.

This year, Hamad International Airport has been ranked by Skytrax as the second-best airport in the world and received the ‘Best Airport in the Middle East’ accolade for the ninth time in a row, as well as ‘World’s Best Airport Shopping’.

Qatar Airways has one of the world’s youngest airlines fleets, with an average aircraft age of approximately five years. Narrow-body and wide-body Airbus and Boeing variants operate a mix of short, medium, long-haul and ultra long-haul international customer and cargo routes.

Net profit for the six months ended 30 June 2023 reached QAR7.6 billion (USD2.1 billion), an increase of 8% compared to same period last year. Operating Income increased by 14% to reach QAR18.5 billion (USD 5.1 billion) underpins Group’s continued successful efforts in maintaining growth across a range of revenue lines.

Total Assets as at 30 June 2023 reached QAR1,202 billion (USD330 billion), an increase of 7% from 30 June 2022, mainly driven by good growth in loans and advances by 7% to reach QAR819 billion (USD225 billion). Strong inflow of customer deposits helped to increase deposit base by 5% to reach QAR836 billion (USD230 billion) from 30 June 2022.

The total number of employees is 29,000 operating through 900 locations, with an ATM network of more than 4,900 machines.

Qatar Rail

Qatar Rail is responsible for designing and developing the country’s rail network, and after the rail projects are completed, manage, operate, and maintain them.

Qatar Rail’s answer to Qatar’s transportation challenges lies in two major projects:

• The Doha Metro: a mostly underground rail network that connects communities within Doha and its suburbs

• The Lusail Tram (LT): a tram network providing comfortable and convenient travel within the new city of Lusail

To meet its mandate, Qatar Rail has been given the responsibility to:

• Develop the railway sector regulatory framework

• Develop railway standards, that includes safety, environment, and customer service

• Managing costs and feasibilities

• Appoint and oversee the program management consultants to ensure timely delivery and quality of service

• Integrate the rail network with other pre-existing modes of transport

• Develop railway sector policies (including fare policies) and strategies

• Enforcing regulations and standards on all rail service operators

QTerminals

QTerminals is a terminal operating company jointly established by Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar – 51% shareholding) and Qatar Navigation (Milaha – 49% shareholding) and is responsible for enabling Qatar’s imports and exports, its maritime trade flows and stimulating economic growth locally and regionally.

QTerminals aims to be, within three years, the best terminal operator in the region in terms of overall quality of service and client satisfaction. Its long-term vision is to be recognised internationally as the most reliable terminal operator and an enabler for the economic growth of Qatar.

Our key objectives are to continue to operate safely, improve productivity, offer value-added services, and grow the business in a structured and sustainable way.

We have a world-class IT infrastructure in place, and we are constantly updating our TOS, Jade, and Navis N4, to maintain operational advantage. Automated access and internal movement management systems will be online soon.
